   1)      Nearly 1 million teenage girls in the United States give birth every year.
         2)      Teenagers who don’t get any medical care are more likely to be at risk for:
Fetal death
High blood pressure
Anemia
Labor and delivery complications (like premature labor)
Low birth – Weight infant
          3)      79 percent of teenagers who become pregnant are unmarried.
          4)      80 percent of teenage pregnancies are unintended.
          5)      Close to 25 percent of teen mothers have a second child within two years of the first birth.
          6)      The United States spends $7 billion each year due to the costs of teenage pregnancy. 
          7)      Only one-third of teenage mothers complete high school and receive their diplomas.   
          8)      By the age of 30, only 1.5% of women who had pregnancies as a teenager have a college degree. 
          9)      80 percent of unmarried teen mothers end up on welfare.
        10)   The daughters of teen mothers are 22 percent more likely than their peers to become teen mothers. 
        11)   Sons of teenaged mothers have a double chance of ending up in prison as compared to their peers.
        12)   In larger states and in the South, teens are more likely to get pregnant than in other states.

        14)   In the USA almost one-third of teen girls will become pregnant.
        15)   Among industrial or developed nations, the United States has the highest rate of teen pregnancy, teen parenthood, and teen abortions.
        16)   Teenage mothers are more likely to get pregnant more times during their life and are more likely to be single parents. 
        17)   Out of high school teenage parents are more likely to have financial issues and are more likely to struggle with their life.
